Garlic Ginger Sauce over White Fish
You will need:
- 4 fillets white fish
- 2 tablespoons ginger minced
- 2 tablespoons shallots minced
- 3 tablespoons garlic minced
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup rice wine
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 cups jasmine rice steamed
- Green Beans
Start by steaming your rice. In a large saucepan add all ingredients for the sauce, bring to a simmer and stir so that there isn’t anything sticking to the bottom. Keep stirring until you notice that the sauce is starting to thicken (reduce). When you notice that your sauce has thickened reduce heat and begin frying your fish. We like ours with just a little olive oil salt and pepper, you can steam your fish if you prefer a healthy option. Once your fish is done, plate the rice and lay fish fillet over, and drizzle with sauce.
We like green beans with this dish which we just simply steam with a few minced shallots salt, pepper and EVOO. Any green veggie would go great!
I thought this was really easy! It took a little longer than I expected to the sauce than I thought it would and we cooked our fish too soon, but it was delicious. The kids even liked it… SUCCESS!!
